 Remarks on sporangia:
Isolates sporulated only very poorly, the few sporangia that formed discharged their zoospores almost immediately after the sporangium was formed. Zoospores often encysted while still inside the sporangium. Caducity of sporangia was reported by Durán et al (2008), but was not observed in our experiments, but the number of sporangia produced were too low to make an accurate assesment.
